The Effects of the New Year

Another year has gone by and there is so much to look forward to. Whoever invented the months of the year was a genius, for it does make a difference to know that a year has ended and another one has begun. The New Year always bring along hope and joy, unless there is something tragic that happens on or around that day. When the clock strikes midnight on the night of December 31st, people scream, set off fireworks and celebrate until they drop.

However, I believe that we should celebrate with the same intensity every morning that we awaken. The same effect on the brain that the New Year has, the start of a new day should have too. It is an opportunity to start over, do things differently, a chance to patch up whatever needs to be mended. A new day opens up doors to places that you have not been to. Nonetheless there are those people that like to live in the past and when they open their eyes in the morning, they wish they hadn’t.

So make every morning the start of something new.
