A Man and His Dog

Touched by this photo seen on social media by some one who had reposted, a repost which, sorry to say, had nothing attached to it - there were no subtitles. Forgive me for not giving the credit to the rightful and brilliant photographer, who probably saw the beauty just as I have, when this photo was taken.

The first feeling that reaches out to me is the affection and loyalty in the pup´s eyes. He is sitting upright and proud to be caressed by his human companion. At the same time, his human seems to be serene heading to wherever they are going.

By observing the man´s clothes and shoes, you can tell that he does not have much money or perhaps those are just his work clothes. Nonetheless, you can feel that his wealth is his heart, and he does not seem to be feeling alone nor sad. He is also proud to be with his furry four-legged pal.

At first glance, this photo filled my heart with warmth and hope. One does not need much to be happy. A picture really does tell a story and speaks a thousand words. Unfortunately, the words slip from my mind as I write this post, but my heart smiles and my eyes well up.
