Loud
music. People laughing and talking. No masks on.
Two
parties going on at the same time. One at a house on the dead-end street next
door, the other in the condominium - to be more exact, the barbeque area (the
very first party after the restrictions due to covid, which is still around but
people act as if it has vanished into thin air – I wish). Both started around
noon.
The
house on the dead-end street had a live band playing pagode; the one in
the barbeque area: techno. Neither of which I fancy. Around 100 people singing
and dancing to the beats – no masks on. Both parties were celebrating someone´s
birthday. I wasn´t invited to either but had to put up with the music and the
mayhem. It was a battle to see whose music was heard the loudest. Perhaps they
could have made a deal to take turns. This way their guests and the rest of the
neighborhood (because they had amplified it so that everyone in a large radius
could hear) could have enjoyed it more than just a mixture of excruciating
noise which ended way past the 10 pm time allotted.
All
I could think was, I wasn´t even invited…
