What a horrible disease to get! One bite from mosquito – bang! Fever, pain, cold sweats, tiredness, lack of appetite, lack of motivation, headache, eye ache, aches all over!

After an entire day of sleep, high fever, best go to the ER Afterall, there are so many diseases floating around this tropical air.

After four hours waiting with no place to sit due to the crowd, the doctor examines you and the blood work comes out positive for dengue. Four liters of water. In case of fever take Tylenol. Loads of rest.

Two weeks seemed like two months. Every 48 hours go to the ER for blood work to see the red cell count. Only after eight days did mine start to rise.

What a relief to hear those words from the doctor! Depending on the patient, recovery can take months and if you get it once, does not mean you will not get it again.
